The district of Bulimba is an electoral division in the state of Queensland, Australia. The Division of Griffith was created in 1934, when the old seat of Oxley was renamed, and is named for Sir Samuel Griffith, a Premier of Queensland and principal author of the Australian Constitution. It is located in the inner southern suburbs of Brisbane, including on the current boundaries the suburbs of Bulimba, Coorparoo, Greenslopes and South Brisbane. The electorate covers the inner eastern suburbs of Brisbane. It is bounded on the north and the west by the Brisbane River and covers the suburbs of Bulimba, Balmoral, Cannon Hill, Hawthorne, Morningside, Norman Park, Murrarie and Seven Hills. Cityferry is an inner city ferry service in Brisbane, which operates on the Brisbane River. Bulimba is an inner suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 5 km south-east of the CBD. Bulimba is located on the Brisbane River and was originally setted as a farming district. The suburb was subdivisioned as a result of the 1880's land boom. Bulimba means Magpie's Lark and is the name also given to Bulimba Creek. The monohulls operate cross river services between Bulimba and Teneriffe, and between Kangaroo Point and the Brisbane CBD
